About New Orleans Jazz Ramblers

Famous in the Crescent City for their musicianship and performance history, the New Orleans Jazz Ramblers are "the real deal."

Band leader Stephen Foster, a noted music educator and recipient of the prestigious Jazz Griot Award in 2020, has played around the world and performed with numerous jazz legends, including Duke Ellington. Rasheed Akbar has also played worldwide but may be best known to millions as the sax player outside the Cafe du Monde. Brian "Breeze" Cayolle, who joins them when he's in town, toured the world with Allen Toussaint, Marva Wright, Elvis Costello, and many others. The list could go on and on.

The band can range from 4 to 16 pieces, depending on your event and budget. They can parade into your party and perform as strolling musicians, as well as take a stage and play before any size crowd. Their funky rhythms and spicy jazz will put smiles on faces and bodies on the dance floor all night!
