Ms. Zeno was born in a small Louisiana town but moved to Memphis over 30 years ago at the request of the late, great Little Milton.
She toured with Milton for two years, then branched out on her own. With the guidence of Albert King, she made her name on Beale Street, where she became a mainstay at B.B. King's, Rum Boogie, and other clubs. She paid her dues, saw highs and lows, and learned to be a great entertainer, as well as a great singer, from such Memphis legends as Rufus Thomas, Ruby Wilson, Ann Peebles, and Carla Thomas.
Today, she's focused more on recording, songwriting, and touring with her big blues band. She's got an outstanding new soul-blues CD, "Back in Love," getting rave reviews around the world.
With sheer talent and years of hard work, Ms. Zeno has earned her place among the Memphis soul and blues greats. She brings warmth, love, and authentic Memphis mojo to every performance.
In a city full of musical royalty, Joyce Cobb is the undisputed Queen of Memphis Jazz.
