With a huge repertoire of Memphis soul and R&B classics, Elmo and the Shades will turn any event into a rockin', rollin', rhythm-and-blues Party!
Lead singer Elmo Lee Thomas, a big man with an even bigger voice, leads a musical tour of the best blues, soul, and rock 'n roll favorites of the last 60 years. Elmo's renowned band mates include local legends and music veterans that have played on huge hits and toured with huge stars. As the Memphis Flyer wrote, "This band has a musical pedigree that will blow your mind."
And when your event needs a little extra sizzle, Elmo can enlist several outstanding female singers, including Vicki Loveland.
The reputation of Elmo and the Shades and the band's versatility are unmatched in Memphis. In addition to an array of outstanding original tunes that set them apart from a typical cover band, they can play soft jazz and blues during dinner and then pack the dance floor all night with party classics from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's.
The band is scalable, based on the size of your event and your budget. Elmo can perform as a duo, as a small combo, with one or several horn players, and with one or several background singers.
