"Bag of Donuts blew everyone away! These guys truly made our reception a party NO ONE will forget. The dance floor was full all night – even as we were second-lining to go home. The amount of energy and fun Bag of Donuts brought to our wedding reception was UNBELIEVABLE. The toilet paper roll shooters and the confetti also made for AWESOME pictures, too! HANDS DOWN, BEST WEDDING BAND, and absolutely worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY (and more)!"
About Bag of Donuts
Since their creation in 1988, Bag of Donuts has entertained — and offended — thousands of people by stealing their hearts, as well as their songs. Covering a wide variety of music from the 1960's through today's top hits, this New Orleans-based quartet is known for wild stage antics, outlandish costumes, and strange renditions of popular tunes. Despite the silliness, Bag of Donuts is a professional band with an outstanding reputation.
They’ve won numerous awards throughout their history and play over 100 dates a year. In 1999, the Donuts released their debut CD, Glazed and Confused. Two years later, they released Live in New Orleans, recorded at a sold-out show at the House of Blues. In 2012, they released their first original single "Put 'Em Up," a Louisiana sports-inspired rally song.
The band is made up of four characters: Kevin George is the thunder behind the storm with his drum kit. Jonathan Hoerner is the Kiss-ing guitarist who makes sure the crowd doesn't forget the show is about rock 'n roll. Jerry Christopher, the Joker, adds more antics and jaw-dropping bass grooves. Bobby Hoerner, who joined this motley krewe in 2011, has over 20 years experience as a crowd-pleasing front man. The result is a more raw, more sexy, more powerful band.
Bag of Donuts remains a vital part of the New Orleans music scene and continues to play large festivals, galas, clubs, and major sporting events. There's an infectious energy to their shows that guarantees audiences of all ages will laugh and have a blast dancing and singing along.
